• Notes

  Living in the parish of St. Peters, Sandwich, Kent at the time of his marriage to Susanna. In 1796 was living at Lower Parade, Bankside, Margate (rateable value £8.0.0.). This road is now an open space near the old harbour and the presumed site of his boatyard. William and Susanna both regularly attended church and later Independent Chapel of which William became clerk. Reputed to have spent some time in Denmark. His Will witnessed by J.
