• Notes

  Christopher unoffically adopted the middle name Goodhugh. Trained as an electrical engineer. Studied at Headingly College before entering Methodist ministry in 1910. Worked 6 years as a missionary in Trichinopoly District, India, then served two years in the King George's Own Pioneer Corps. Returned to England in 1919 and worked for six years as Secretary of the Welsh Textile Manufacturers' Association before becoming a circuit minister at Swanage, Weymouth and the Midlands.
