In the name of God amen.  I Daniel Gouger of Ramsgate in the parish of St. Laurence in the Isle of Thanet in the county of Kent fisherman being in good and perfect health and of sound and disposing mind and memory praise be almighty God therefore considering the dangers and perils of the sea and other incertaintye of this transitory life do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) imprimis I do will give and devise unto Sarah my wife and her assigns for ever all and singular that messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell in Ramsgate aforesaid together with the herring house outhouses edifices buildings yards ??? and appointments to the same belonging them all and singular my household goods chattels plate and ready money and all debts due and owing to me and also all my nets ropes and all other my fishing craft whatsoever together also with all my part shares and interest of and in any ship and ships fishing vessels and boats whatsoever which I shall be possessed of or entitled to  at the time of my death and all other my personall estate whatsoever I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto the said Sarah my wife.  And I hereby make constitute and appoint the said Sarah my wife sole executrix of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former wills and testaments by me made in witness whereof I the said Daniel Gouger have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seale the fourth day of September anno domini 1711 and in the tenth year of the reign of our sovereign lady Anne by the grace of God Queen of Great Britain ??? and profound defender of the faith – Daniel Gouger  Signed sealed published and declared by the said Daniel Gouger as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of and at the request of the said testator  - James Fagg - Daniel Hichings – William Fagg
